Individual Therapy |
I utilized evidence-based interventions that enable children, teens, and young adults to improve emotion and behavior regulation, reduce anxiety and depression, and increase social and executive functioning skills. Some of the additional issues that I work with include school issues, noncompliance, tantrums, anger, attention/concentration, hyperactivity, planning and organization, and sleeping difficulties. My individual work with children also includes collaboration with parents. After an initial evaluation, I collaborate with the client and/or parents to develop a treatment plan informed by behavioral, cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), and acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapies with a focus on utilizing individual strengths to improve areas of challenge.

Parent Coaching |
Parents of children and teens with challenging behaviors can often benefit from building 'extra-ordinary' parenting skills to support their family member. Parent coaching offers strategies to increase effective communication, behavior management, consistency and predictability, and to support children to learn and use new skills. I draw from behavioral parent training and parent-child interaction therapies with the goal to help families increase cohesiveness, reduce conflict, and increase parents' own sense of competence and confidence.
